2025 SUMMER PROGRAMS

This summer, The Collective Learning Academy offers an exciting range of camps with a creative twist! Our Intensive Academic Instructional Camp will focus on language, reading, writing, and comprehension skills, followed by fun weekly themed activities that allow kids to unwind and engage in a creative, enjoyable experience. We also offer the Community-Based Instruction/Job Training Camp and the Intensive Transition Camp for high school grads. Give your child the chance to learn, grow, and enjoy a fun, theme-filled experience!

1. Intensive Academic Instructional Camp

    • Cost: $650/ week

    • Time: 8:30am-12:00pm

    • Days: Monday-Friday

    • June 1-5

    • June 8-12

    • June 22-26

    • July 6-10

    • July 13-17

Mornings For Students Ages 12-21

These sessions will be dedicated to remedial and intensive reading and language instruction using Fast Forward (FFW) and math instruction. Each week will feature a different exciting theme: Sports, Science, Cooking, Adventure, Drama, and Band Camp.

2. Transition Summer Camp

    • Cost: Same as School Year

    • Time: 8:30am-12:00pm

Mornings For Students Ages 18 & Up

This summer, in the "Living on My Own" program, students will gain practical skills for independent living by researching key aspects like jobs, transportation, housing, and budgeting. They'll learn how to manage finances, understanding the differences between staying under, within, or over budget, and assess their readiness for living on their own. Students will create a PowerPoint presentation to showcase their findings, including their ideal living situation, transportation, and confidence in managing independent living. At the end of the program, they’ll present to the school, improving their public speaking, presentation, and confidence. The program includes courses in Financial Literacy and Adult Living Skills.

3. Community Based Instruction Camp with Work-Based Learning

    • Cost: $650/ week

    • Time: 1:00pm-3:30pm

    • Days: Monday-Friday

    • June 1-5

    • June 8-12

    • June 15-19

    • June 22-26

    • July 6-10

    • July 13-17

Afternoons For Students Ages 12 & Up

CLA campers will engage in job training with community partners, gaining a sense of purpose by giving back. Job training is tailored to each student's abilities, with tasks like assembly, sorting, customer service, and more. Campers will also participate in life skills training such as health, money management, community navigation, and social skills. Friday outings allow students to practice these skills in the community through activities like bowling, swimming, and hiking. Students should bring a snack, drink, and any necessary support for outings.

4. Combined Options: Full Day Program

    • Cost: $1100/week

    • Time: 8:30am-3:30pm

    • Days: Monday-Friday

    • June 1-5

All Day For Students Ages 12 & Up

Our full-day program offers a unique combination of options for students to get the most out of their summer experience.

Choose between the following options:
Combining Option 1: Intensive Academic Instructional Camp with Option 3: Community-Based Instruction/Job Training Camp

Combining Option 2: Transition Summer Camp with Option 3: Community-Based Instruction/Job Training Camp.

Each combination is designed to provide a comprehensive, well-rounded experience that focuses on both academic skill-building and practical life skills.

Featured Themes:

  • Sports Camp

    Focused on sportsmanship and teamwork, students will enhance their athletic skills while learning the value of collaboration. They'll play team sports like soccer, basketball, pickleball, and volleyball, all while building lasting friendships and sportsmanship.

  • Cooking Camp

    A fun, hands-on camp where students sharpen life skills and explore their creativity in the kitchen. They'll learn essential cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and prepare simple, delicious recipes each day.

  • Science Camp

    A week full of discovery, where campers dive into exciting scientific experiments, dissect ocean creatures, and study fascinating topics like sharks. It's a hands-on week that fuels curiosity and learning!

  • Drama Camp

    A chance for students to express themselves through acting, improv, and performance. They’ll explore different acting techniques, develop their creativity, and gain confidence in front of an audience.

  • Band Camp

    Students will unleash their musical talents while learning to play different instruments and work as a group. Band Camp helps foster teamwork, discipline, and creativity through music.

  • Adventure Camp

    An action-packed week of field trips and outdoor activities designed to build independence, confidence, and leadership.
